Since 2011 Julija Mintautė has been attending contemporary dance classes at the Vytis Jankauskas Dance Theatre, and in 2013 she took part in a ballet and modern dance programme in Frankfurt. In September 2015 she started her studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, majoring in contemporary dance (BA).
In June 2016 she took part in the selection of dancers for Kaunas Dance Theatre ,,Aura". In August of the same year, she started intensive activities with the theatre and in November she was hired as a dancer-artist at Aura Dance Theatre. In January 2017, she stopped her studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and decided to work full-time at Aura Dance Theatre and pursue a career as a contemporary dance dancer, which she has been doing successfully ever since.
