This pianist's dedication to music has been appreciated on an international scale many times - Jurgis participated in prestigious competitions for pianists in Italy, France, Sweden and, of course, Lithuania. in 2010 he became a graduate of the international S. Vainiūnas piano competition in Lithuania, and in 2012 won first prize at an international music competition in Malta in the summer. J. Aleknavičiaus has repeatedly held solo performances in Poland, Norway, Belgium, Italy, Russia, and is currently preparing for concerts in Malta and China.
In Lithuania, the pianist usually plays in the most popular classical music halls of Vilnius, appears as a concertmaster with various artists of the young generation, and also participates in such well-known events as the "Grand Parade of Musicians", the "Christ Festival" and others. Jurgis has performed several times with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra (conductor Prof. Sergej Krylov) and the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra (conductor Prof. Juozas Domarkas), and while studying in his homeland he organized annual recitals at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.

Aleknavičius studied at the Balis Dvarions ten-year music school in Vilnius, then studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, where he completed his master's studies. in 2008 interned at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of professor D. Blumenthal and assistant K. Veekmans.
