Justas Čeponis was born on November 23, 1992 in Ignalina. He studied choral conducting and piano at Kaunas Juozas Gruodis Conservatory, with his piano teacher being expert I. Vaičienė. After completing his Bachelor's degree at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (2016, in Prof. Z. Ibelgaupta's piano class), Justas interned at the Berlin University of the Arts through the Erasmus exchange program (2014, in Prof. S. Enachescu's piano and Prof. A. Baun's Lied classes). In the spring of 2018, Justas obtained his Master's degree from the Paris National Conservatory of Music and Dance (in Prof. D. Pascal's piano class).
Justas Čeponis is the laureate of the 7th International Stasys Vainiunas Piano and Chamber Ensembles Competition (2014, 2nd prize), the 5th International Student and Youth Chamber Ensembles and Concertmasters Competitions (2015, 1st prize). In 2015, the President of the Republic of Lithuania gave him a commendation for promoting the name of Lithuania in international competitions. Justas participates in various vocal and instrumental chamber music ensembles and arranges concert programs for music of different genres and periods.
Justas has performed with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra (conducted by R. Šervenikas) and the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre Orchestra (conducted by T. Ambrozaitis), as well as on stages in Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Greece, France, and many cities in Lithuania. He regularly attends master classes led by top pianists such as Petras Geniušas, Andrias Žlabys, Ksenija Knorre, Denis Pascal, Kevin Kenner, Karl-Andreas Kolly, Philippe Giusiano, Alexei Grynyuk and Evgeni Bozhanov.
