Lithuanian painter, scenographer.
Graduated from the Lithuanian Art Institute in 1953. Since 1945 she has worked as a stage designer in Lithuanian theatres. 1949-1954 - artist at Klaipėda Drama Theatre, 1954-1961 - chief artist, 1962-1978 - artist at Lithuanian Film Studio.
Created conceptual, laconic scenic designs for about 60 plays, sets and costumes for films. She created abstracted and abstract paintings ("Something Like This" 1960, "The Wind" 1965, "Hiroshima" 1975, "Time" 1980, "The Last Song" 1994), graphic works, ceramics. They are strictly composed, expressively painted, characterised by a combination of warm and cold colours, texture and plane.
