Composer and translator, born in Głogów. A graduate of the State Primary and Secondary Music School. Mieczysław Karłowicz in Zielona Góra. There, she began composing under the guidance of Prof. Juliusz Karcz. She studied at the Academy of Music. Ignacy Paderewski in Poznań (in the composition class of Prof. Mirosław Bukowski, graduating with honors), at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (Master's studies in Applied Linguistics, postgraduate studies at the School of Translators and Foreign Languages, specialization: conference interpreting), as well as at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Poznań. Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz in Łódź (Postgraduate studies in film music, computer music and audiovisual work). She also completed postgraduate studies in art therapy at the Medical University of K. Marcinkowski in Poznań.
Laureate of composition competitions in Poland: Pro Arte in Wrocław, distinction in the category of songs (2003), Vera Passio in Warsaw, main prize for Getsemani for mixed choir (2004), Silver fast in Kraków, distinction in the category of chamber works for Mazurka for piano trio (2005), This bell tolls for fountain in Gdańsk, 2nd prize for Nihil constat for carillon and electronics (2016), and abroad: Reinl Preis 2003 in Vienna (Austria), 3rd prize for a chamber piece Quattro episodi (2003), Suoni di fiaba in Vittorio Veneto (Italy), 2nd prize for Cenerentola for piano 4 hands (2004) and Alfredo Casella in Siena (Italy), main prize for the symphonic poem The Island of the Fay (2004). Her works have been performed many times throughout Poland and abroad (Sweden, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Vietnam, Luxembourg, Belgium, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Canada, Australia and the USA). She composed, among others for the pianist Marcin Dominik Głuch, for the Mozart 2003 Association from Warsaw, the choirs of the Szczecin University of Technology, the Cantylena Music Society, the Cantemus Domino choir, the Polirytmia women's choir, the Zielona Góra Philharmonic, Sepia Ensemble, the Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra "Amadeus", commissioned by the organizers of Internationales Chorprojekt - Niedergrafschafter Musikhighlight, the Music Society of Feliks Nowowiejski in Poznań and the Polish Carillon Association in Gdańsk. Her compositions have been presented as part of, among others IX International Polish-German Piano Competition in Görlitz (2010), International Festival of Contemporary Music Poznań Music Spring (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019), Warsaw Music Meetings Festival (2019), Passion and Paschal Music Festival in Poznań (2013) Listening Room – Musical Signs of Time Festival in Toruń (2014, 2015), Sakralnyj Prostir Festival in Lviv (2015), Osmose Festival in Luxembourg and Brussels (2017, 2018), Turbulences Sonores contemporary music festival in Montpellier, France (2018), International 'Generative Art' Conference in Rome, Italy (2019), World Carillon Congress in Barcelona (2017) and international carillon festivals in France and Lithuania. She also took part in the international composing project "250 piano pieces for Beethoven" (Bonn, Germany, 2018, 2020).
She was a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and Art (1998), Deutscher Musikrat (2003) and the state of Brandenburg (2005-2006). In 2004-2005, as part of the Deutscher Musikrat scholarship for young music critics, she published e.g. in Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita, neue musikzeitung and Lausitzer Rundschau.
In 2012, she conducted a doctoral dissertation at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. Karol Lipiński in Wrocław, obtaining a doctorate in music arts in the discipline of composition. By the decision of the Senate of the Academy of Music Ignacy Jan Paderewski in Poznań on December 11, 2019, she obtained the degree of doctor habilitated in the field of art in the discipline of musical arts. He is a member of the Polish Composers' Union and the Polish Society for Contemporary Music.
In addition, he is a German language translator. Her translations of texts on music and musicology are published, among others, in in the magazine about contemporary music "Glissando", in the monographs "New German Music" and "New American Music" (published by Korporacja Ha!art), in the monographs of the Wydawnictwo Akademia Muzyczna im. K. Lipiński in Wrocław and in the sheet music editions of Works by Mieczysław Karłowicz and Feliks Nowowiejski (PWM). She is also a co-author of the Great German-Polish Dictionary (PWN 2010). He is certified as a sworn translator. Since 2005, she has been associated with the Institute of Music of the University of Zielona Góra, where she currently works as an assistant professor.
