Klaidas Paškevičius works in mixed media, where the dominant pastel gives his works a sense of fragility and tenderness. Exploring the multi-layered and dual nature of everyday life, the artist seems to deform the "portraits" he creates. He is encouraged to do so by the changing environment and the intrusion of the virtual world into our lives. The subjects of Clyde's portraits often become heroes floating in space and time - frightened, dazed, as if merging with their surroundings, where the framed experiences are intertwined with the artist's memories.
The artist, who is entering his professional career at an older age, is currently still a student at the Kaunas Faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, but his works have already been included in the important exhibition Vilnius Vibes at the Anger Museum in Erfurt, after which they have been acquired by a German collector.
