Prominent Greek pianist LAMBIS VASSILIADIS stands out among other performers with his impressive, artistically sensitive and emotional playing style. He studied with such famous pianists as Yaltah Menuhin, Viktor Merzhanov and James Tocco, won 11 awards in international and republican piano competitions, received international press attention for his pianistic skills and deep musical thinking. Vassiliadis' CD of works by B. Bartók, A. Scriabin, F. Poulenc and K. Szymanowski was rated four stars by BBC Music Magazine, his recordings of R. Schumann and J. Brahms are praised by musicologist Charles Timbrell in "Fanfare Music Magazine" , the world's first recording of Allen Sapp's piano sonatas was rated by the American Recording Guide as one of the best of 2001, and A. Sapp himself commented on L. The pianist's biography also boasts an education at five universities and art academies in Greece, Germany, England, and the United States, as well as a degree in philosophy from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.The performer has held numerous solo concerts, appeared on numerous radio and television programs in Greece, as well as in Germany, the USA, South Africa, Italy, England, Poland, Thailand, Lithuania, Cyprus, France, played with such orchestras as the London Philharmonic, Prague's Kammerphilarmonie ” and the national symphony, Bangkok symphony, Thessaloniki state symphony and others.
Since 2004 he works as a professor at the Department of Music at the University of Ionia and as the artistic coordinator of the International Piano Institute in Greece.
