The author of the paintings - Lilija Keruckaitė-Dirsienė lives and paints in Kaunas. She has always been interested in painting and art, and has been drawing miniatures for many years. Lilija's ink paintings are spread all over the world - USA, Israel, Europe. She studied Lithuanian Philology at Vilnius University. In her life she paints for a hobby, not for commercial reasons. As the artist herself says, she paints when she "catches" inspiration. She has never mixed art with commerce and has never tried to do so. The artist's works often have allegorical and metaphorical elements, revealing the relationship between man and nature.
The current technique is acrylic, the paintings are painted without specific compositions, leaving the freedom to the viewer to make sense of the painting and to give it an idea, which can change, and that is wonderful - it is an abstraction!
