Lina Marija Songailė (Domarkaitė) is a young generation violinist who actively performs in Europe and beyond. She is a graduate of the E. Balsys Arts Gymnasium in Klaipėda, having completed her mother, teacher Saulutė Domarkienė's, violin class. She constantly learns and improves at prestigious universities such as the Graco University of Music and Performing Arts in Austria and the "Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana" in Lugano, Switzerland. She also had the opportunity to improve with several violin virtuosos, in halls such as "Gasparo da Salo" in Italy and "Vladimir Spivakov invites" in Moscow, among others.
Lina is a laureate of many national and international competitions. Her performances at international festivals such as "Gasparo da Salo" in Italy, "Vladimir Spivakov invites" in Moscow, the Livorno Music Festival in Italy and the Pažaislis Music Festival were also very successful. She collaborates with various conductors, including Saulius Sondeckis, Ilmar Lapinsch and Andrejus Kružkovas.
Lina is a member of Gustavo Mahler's youth orchestra and has appeared at such famous European halls as the "Felsenreitschule" in Salzburg, "Concertgebouw" in Amsterdam, "Royal Albert Hall" in London and "Semperoper" in Dresden. She was also a former violinist of the chamber orchestra "Kremerata Baltica" led by Gidon Kremer and played in the world's most famous concert halls such as the "Carnegie Hall" in New York, "Suntory Hall" in Tokyo, "Elbphilharmonie" in Hamburg, "Musikverein" in Vienna and others.
Since 2017, Lina has been teaching at the Klaipėda Faculty of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and the E. Balsys Arts Gymnasium in Klaipėda.
