Liudas Norvaišas was born in 1960. In 1993 he graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music (class of Prof. Virgilijus Noreika). Later he continued his vocal training in Hochschule für Musik in Salzburg (class of Prof. R. Knoll).
However, L. Norvaišas began his career on the stage much earlier. Already in 1982 he began to sing in the choir of the Lithuanian National Opera in Vilnius. From 1990 he became a soloist of this same theatre. He also sings in the Bremen Opera and Erfurt Opera Theatre in Germany.
The soloist constantly performs on the concert stage too. He collaborates with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, etc.
Liudas Norvaišas has tours in Russia, Finland, Italy, USA, Austria, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, the Netherlands, Japan, etc. He participated in festivals in Savonlinna (Finland), Malmo, Shinminato (Japan), „Domstufen” Festspiele in Erfurt (Germany), Bregenz (Austria) etc.
Since 2007 he has been teaching at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
