A Germanist and translator, Luca Crescenzi has been at the University of Trento since 2016, where he teaches German Literature. Known in the literary community for his studies on Thomas Mann and German Romanticism, he is curating for Mondadori the complete Italian edition of the works of the great German author. Of particular note is the recent translation of the Doctor Faustus (in 2016) and the curate of La montagna magico (2011), works that have attracted the attention of critics and the acclaim of literary enthusiasts.
