A graduate of soloist studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich and master studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris and Yale University in New Haven. He is a laureate of all Polish flute competitions and the winner of top prizes at several international competitions, including such prestigious ones as: 8. Jean Pierre Rampala in Paris, 3rd International Flute Competition. Carl Nielsen in Odense, 1st International Flute Competition. Theobald Böhm in Munich and the 5th International Flute Competition. Leonardo de Lorenzo in Viggiano. He gives concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in Poland and abroad. He collaborates with many renowned orchestras. As a soloist, he has performed at Musikverein Goldener Saal and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Gasteig Carl Orff Saal and Herkulessaal in Munich. He played under the baton of such stars as Zubin Mehta, James Levine, Mariss Jansons, Jerzy Maksymiuk and Jacek Kaspszyk. He has been repeatedly invited to perform Krzysztof Penderecki's flute concerto under the composer's baton. In 2010, Łukasz Długosz had his phonographic debut with the London Symphony Orchestra, with which he recorded an album with a flute concerto by Michael Colin. The artist has made many archival, radio and television recordings in Poland and abroad. His numerous CD recordings have been highly appreciated by Polish and European critics, and he has received a number of phonographic awards, including the International Classical Music Award (ICMA).His concerts have been repeatedly broadcast by the most important radio stations, such as: BBC Radio 3, NDR, SWR, BR4, Deutschland Radio Kultur, Polskie Radio 2, Radio France, RMF Classic.He has premiered a number of compositions by Polish and foreign artists, including Enjott Schneider, Paweł Mykietyna, Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil, Piotr Moss, Michael Colin, Paweł Łukaszewski and many others. He is a juror of national and international flute competitions. He conducts masterclasses all over the world. He represents Poland at numerous international flute conventions. Łukasz Długosz was twice nominated for Polityka's Passports and the Guarantees of Culture award of TVP Kultura. For his artistic achievements, he received a number of prestigious awards and scholarships, including: Gasteig Musikpreis, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Zeit-Preis, Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. For outstanding cultural activity and promotion of Polish culture, Łukasz Długosz was awarded the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture.
