Lukrecija Stonkutė was born on April 14, 1997 in Mažeikiai. At the age of four, she began studying piano in the class of teacher Inga Grušaitė at the Mažeikiai Vytautas Klova School of Music. In 2010, she enrolled in the piano section of the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, where she was taught by Gabriela Kondrotaitė and later by Professor Veronika Vitaitė. In 2014, she transferred to the Music Theory and History section, where she was taught by Vytautė Markeliūnienė. In 2015, she began studying in the organ department, where she studied in the class of Jurgita Kazakevičiūtė. Having graduated from the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in 2017, she began studying Music Theory and Criticism under the guidance of Professor Rūta Stanevičiūtė-Kelmickienė at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), where she also has concurrent pedagogy studies.
Lukrecija Stonkutė participated in the Republican B. Dvarionas Piano Competition and the "Petr Eben Young Pianists Competition" in Vilnius, where she was awarded the title of laureate in both competitions. She also participated in the "Janis Norvilis International Competitions for Young Pianists" in Latvia, where she won first place. She frequently performs as a soloist, accompanist and chamber ensemble member in Lithuania and abroad. In 2010, she presented a piano recital in Mažeikiai.
In terms of composition, in 2014 she began attending a composition class led by Gintaras Samsonas. Here she created numerous instrumental chamber and vocal works. She participated three times in the "My Note" competition and was awarded diplomas for her compositions "Šešėliai nakties" for violin and piano, and "Sarasvatė" for a string quartet, as well as third place for her composition for choir, "Tora Bora". She contributed to the writing of an opera for National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts graduates titled "Neužmirštuolių Laukai" ("Fields of Unforgotten Ones") as a member of the collective of authors.
In terms of organ, she performs as an organist, playing in churches in Židikai, Akmenė, Mažeikiai, Marijampolė, Panevėžys, Kaunas, Vilnius, as well as Krakow, Warsaw and Prague. In 2016, she participated in the "Young Organist" competition in Kaunas, where she won first place. She also participated in the "VI J. Žukas Organist Competition" in Vilnius, where she won third place. She performs solo concerts in the churches of St. Francis of Assisi in Mažeikiai, St. Peter and Paul in Kaunas Cathedral, and St. John's Church in Vilnius, Cathedral Basilica and since 2017 has been the organist of the Church of the Holy Cross in Vilnius. In 2018, she collaborated with well-known violinist Zbignev Levicki, organizing the project "Seasons and Ave Maria" at Vilnius Town Hall. She attended the organ department at LMTA with Professor Virginija Survilaitė.
In terms of musicology, Lukrecija Stonkutė is very active, giving many concerts, preparing lectures, writing articles, reviews, annotations, interviews (video and written) for various newspapers, magazines, online news portals, etc. In 2016, she participated in the LNOBT (Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre) Young Critics Competition "Modern Opera Theatre: at the junction of traditions", where she won an encouragement prize. For this competition, she wrote a review titled “Meilė gimusi neapykantoje" ("Love Born in Hatred") about Sergei Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet," which was published in the journal "Bravissimo" and posted on the website Bernardinai.lt. In 2017, she participated in the Lithuanian National Philharmonic's "Musicologists Workshop" project, during which she created a review titled "Pakeleivių laivai ir valtelės, jau palydėti į plačius muzikos vandenis" ("Illegal immigrant ships and buoys already dispatched to the wide waters of music"), for which she received the audience prize. She has been interviewed in radio shows on Gold fm and Start fm, and since 2019 she has been organizing educational concerts for children in the LVSO for Kids project, in which an art director and chief conductor is Gintaras Rinkevičius. Since the same year, she has been working as a musicologist in the International Mažeikiai Arts Festival and was invited by violinist and artistic director of the festival Gérald Bidva.
