painter and musician from Kaunas. He started his musical career around 2010 and has been painting since the summer of 2017, when he graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts. He has already held two solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions. Daujotas' painting technique is conservative and old-fashioned in its own way, but the content of his paintings is filled with the anxiety caused by the amount of information in the modern world. The motifs of the artist's works range from architectural fragments, to kitchen utensils, to an albino crocodile. The main mission of the paintings is to show the depth, tension, grievances, beauty, change, anxiety and, above all, the multiplicity of the hidden inner world. Looking at the painted empty interiors and exteriors, the categorical shadow formations and the atmospheric diffusion of light, it is easy to find connections with the work of artists such as Edward Hopper, Rene Magritte, Jake Longstreth and Mitchell Johnson.
