Marko Topchii, born in 1991 in Kiev, Ukraine, started guitar lessons at the age of 4 with Volodymyr Homenyuk. He graduated from the Kharkiv Conservatory in 2012 and later studied at the Kiev Academy of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory. He is currently studying solo performance at the Geneva Higher School of Music with Judicaël Perroy.
He has won more than 100 international guitar competitions, including 55 first prizes. In 2023, he won the Guitar Foundation of America's International Concert Artist Competition, which led to a 50-concert tour of the USA, Canada and Mexico, a performance at Carnegie Hall and the recording of an album with Naxos. His performances include Carnegie Hall and Yamaha Ginza Hall.
