Melina Jusczyk was born in Düsseldorf in 1995. After studying fashion design, she gained experience in London and Munich before coming to Cologne in 2019 as a costume assistant. During her 3 years as an assistant, she has already designed costumes, including at the Schauspiel Köln for STEFKO HANUSHEVSKY ERZÄHLT: DER GROßE DIKTATOR (directed by Rafael Sanchez), TOMORROW IS FOR NOW ALWAYS HERE (directed by Christina Lindauer) and POETICA 7 (directed by Philipp Plessmann). In September 2021, she also designed the costume design for SCHNITTSTELLEN II at the Cologne Opera in collaboration with InterArtes e.V., directed by Oliver Klöter. Since September 2022, she has been working as a freelance costume designer. Her costumes can currently be seen in HELGES LEBEN with the Import Export Kollektiv, directed by Saliha Shagasi.
