Graduated from the Lithuanian Art Institute in 1959, teachers Juozas Balčikonis and Sofija Veiverytė.
Mostly created monumental decorative tapestries for public interiors ("Chemija" for the Fuel Hardware Factory in Vilnius, 1974, "Gyvenimas nugali" for the Pirčiupiai Memorial Museum, 1984, "Polėkis" for the Fuel Hardware Factory in Vilnius, 1975, "Anthem for Life" 1977, "Sprout of Life" 1978, International Oncology Centre, "Tenderness" 1979, Press Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, "Spatial Composition", Olympic Press Centre, 1980, all in Moscow), fabric standards, batiks, appliqués, knotted rugs. He has made textured ("Electronics" I-II 1972-1973, "Blue Space" 1988, "Star Trail" 2002, "Peak of Peace" 2006), irregular configurations, rhythmic relief tapestries ("Birth of Stone" I-II 1991-1993), and painted pastels ("Formation of Galaxies" 2006). The works are characterised by tectonic composition, relief, associative quality, rich colours, combinations of various materials (wool, synthetics, sisal, lurex, metal wire).
Since 1962 he has taken part in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad (Russia, France, the Czech Republic, the United States of America, Germany, and so on); individual exhibitions, Lithuanian Art Museum, Lithuanian National Museum, Vilnius Gaon Jewish Museum.
