The baritone Modestas Sedlevičius was born in Jonava in Lithuania. He completed his studies in chemistry at Vilnius University in 2010, although in 2008 he had already entered the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he started a preliminary singing course in the class of Deividas Staponkus. In 2011, he entered Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts in Germany, and continued his singing studies under professors Rudolf Piernay and Snežana Stamenković. He has participated in master-classes led by Renat Bruzon, Robert Holl, and others. He became a laureate at the XXI International Louis Spohr, the IX International "Lions Club", and the Klaudia Taev competitions. In 2015, he won a scholarship and entered the La Scala Theatre Academy in Milan, Italy. He made his debut at La Scala Opera Theatre as the Second Apprentice in Alban Berg's opera "Wozzeck", and also sang Papageno in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera "Die Zauberflöte" in a shortened version for children. In 2016, he created the role of Dandini in Gioachino Rossini's opera "La Cenerentola", and Silvio in Ruggiero Leoncavallo's opera "Pagliacci".
