Mona Rozdestvenskyte was born in Moscow in 1994. At the Detmold University of Music, she finished her studies of Church Music (Bachelor and Master degree) as well as the Master Soloist Organ with Prof. Dr. Martin Sander. To supplement her education, she continued to study at the organ masterclass with Prof. Dr. Martin Schmeding at the University of Music and Theatre Leizig. During her studies she held a scholarship of the Bischöfliche Stiftung Cusanuswerk e.V. She received further artistic input in master classes of various renowned artists.
Being a student as well as later on, Mona Rozdestvenskyte has been awarded with several prices at international organ competitions: Amongst them are the St. Albans Organ Competition (UK), the Saint-Maurice International Organ Competition (Switzerland), the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition, the organ competition Bachpreis Wiesbaden (Germany), Rheinberger Organ Competition in Vaduz (Liechtenstein), the international organ competitions in Wuppertal and Korschenbroich (Germany), the Ciurlionis organ competition in Vilnius (Lithuania), the Petr Eben competition in Opava (Czech Republic) and the international organ competition in Bad Homburg (Germany).
Mona Rozdestvenskyte is internationally present as a concert organist. She gave concerts at the Mozarteum Salzburg, in Westminster Abbey and Southwark Cathedral in London, in the Frauenkirche Dresden, several cathedrals (Bremen, Osnabrück, Paderborn, Hildesheim and Riga Cathedrals), St. Thomas Church 5th Avenue New York City (USA) and several places across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Baltic states and Poland. In October 2022, she will make her debut at Gewandhaus Leipzig, playing Thierry Escaich´s concert for organ and orchester.
Her recital in the ORF Sendesaal in Vienna (Austria) was broadcast live in the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation. In 2021, she was broadcast in Deutschlandradio Kultur. Also in 2021, the organ CD “Music in the Cathedrals of Aukstatija” (Lithuania) was released, in which Mona Rozdestvenskyte participated.
From 2017 to 2021 Mona Rozdestvenskyte was employed as organist and music director in Bad Driburg (Germany), since 2021 she has been given the position as organist and music director at the Provost Church St. Johann in Bremen (Germany).
Beginning in October 2022, Mona Rozdestvenskyte will be teaching the organ at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Herford.
