After studying violin in Kiev, where she was taught by many masters such as PZ Bondas, BA Kotorovich, and YG Rivniak, Myroslava Kotorovych became known thanks to a resounding Grand Prix obtained at the “Autumn Golden” competition in Ukraine, which allowed her to continue her studies with great violinists in Poland and Austria. Her meeting with Gidon Kremer was decisive. Since 1998, she has collaborated regularly with the violinist and his chamber orchestra, Kremerata Baltica, accompanying them in numerous festivals around the world. A Soloist in high demand, Myroslava Kotorovych has performed with many Ukrainian orchestras, and at the prestigious David Oistrakh International Music Festival in Estonia. Since 2003, she has also worked with the Kiev Soloists, of which she is Konzertmeister and, since 2005, artistic director.
Myroslava Kotorovych has been teaching violin at the National Academy of Music of Ukraine since 2001. An innovative teacher, she ensured that a specific concert hall was created for the violin class in her Academy and launched a series of concerts for high-level students, entitled Violino Solo. Her methods are proving their worth with several of her students winning prizes in major international competitions.
