Lighting director NICOLAS GILLI started his career at the National Theatre of Nice in 1981. He has been a lighting director for various productions in theatres, concerts, art biennales and different festivals. During his career, Nicolas Gilli has collaborated with leading lighting directors and stage directors in France. The artist has been the touring lighting director for the world-renowned French singer ZAZ since 2013. Since 2017, Nicolas Gilli has been designing the lighting of productions directed by Vincent Boussard, among their common work are Les Dialogues des Carmélites by Francis Poulenc, operetta Candide by Leonard Bernstein, Les contes d'Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach, Jules Massenet’s Manon and Mignon by Ambroise Thomas. After finishing the production of Francesco Cilea’s opera Adriana Lecouvreur at the Latvian National Opera, Nicolas Gilli will be working on the Puccini’s Tosca at the Opera National de Hong-Kong and Verdi’s La traviata at the Opera National de Séoul, all planned for 2023.
