Ona Juciūtė works and lives in Vilnius. In her work, she combines sculpture, installation, material research, video and storytelling methods. The hierarchy of materials, display habits, issues of energy change and changing ways of making things are interesting. Ona has held solo exhibitions at Editorial Project Space, Vilnius and The Center for Contemporary Art Derry~Londonderry, United Kingdom, participated in group exhibitions at the MOCAK Museum in Krakow, the Contemporary Art Center in Vilnius, the National Art Gallery in Vilnius, the Kaunas Artists' House, Atletika, RUPERT, Swallow projects space in Vilnius, etc. When creating scenography, she cooperates with the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, Hotel Pro Forma in Copenhagen, the Youth Theater in Vilnius, the Volksbühne in Berlin, etc. On the stage, Ona mostly works with the themes of the fragmentation of time and memory. Since 2021, Ona has participated in residency programs abroad, including AIR Niederosterreich in Austria, Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen in Germany, and Diyalog in Istanbul, Turkey. She was awarded the first JCDecaux prize in 2016 and received a personal grant from Aleksandra Kashuba in 2017. Since 2021, her sculptures have become a permanent part of the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki.
