Brought up in Kaunas and strongly influenced by different cultures, Jonas started making music at the age of 15, but his relationship with music has always been on an abstract level, which has made his personal work artistic, floating and without a clear purpose. His latest debut album was inspired by the Lithuanian electronic club music culture, and in particular by the strong sense of contemporary hedonistic living. "Palmės žiedas has always had a weakness for the mid/end of the 20th century style of recording, which can often make his work seem mundane and all too human. However, these traits only underline the melancholic nostalgia for the modernist age. After his debut album Futura, he wandered between different Lithuanian alternative music scenes, which made him feel lost and distracted, but still looking for a place to admire his work. With his latest singles, Palmės žiedas plays the last notes of Futura's style and wants to move on. The idea of conceptualising contemporary electronic music is beginning to take shape in his recent unreleased tracks and he is now quietly waiting for the chance to present them to the world.
