Paulius Gefenas (b. 1988) began studying flute-making at the M.K. Čiurlionis National Arts School. In 2007, he graduated from the school and began studying in the flute class of Professor A. Vizgirda at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. From 2008, Paulius continued his studies in The Hague at the Royal Conservatoire with Thies Roorda and Rien de Reede. In 2012, he successfully completed his bachelor's degree and spent the summer in Siena, Italy at the Academy Chigiana with Patrick Gallois. At the same time, he began his studies in Brussels. In Brussels, he studied in the master's flute class with Carlos Bruneel, and in Paris with Patrick Gallois. Paulius often performs not only in Lithuania, but also abroad. He is a laureate of international competitions in Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, and the Netherlands. He has performed in major concert halls in Lithuania, the Netherlands (Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Rotterdam's 'de Doelen', etc.), Belgium (in the Bozar main hall, performing for the Belgian Queen), and elsewhere. He has performed in concerts in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Latvia.
