Pianist, composer, arranger, music producer, lecturer at the Academy of Music. Karol Szymanowski in Katowice, habilitated doctor, dean of the Faculty of Jazz and Entertainment Music at the home university since 2019.
He is one of the most important figures on the Polish jazz scene. He became famous as a laureate of numerous awards received during renowned jazz competitions and festivals in Poland and abroad. He has obtained, among others. 1st place as part of the Jazz Standards' Festival in Siedlce (2006), Grand Prix and special prize of Radio Kraków during the Jazz Juniors festival (2006), Grand Prix LOTOS Jazz Festival – Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa in Bielsko-Biała (2006) and individual prize as part of the Jazz on the Odra festival in Wrocław (2003, 2004).
He has performed all over the world, collaborating with Polish and international stars of jazz and entertainment music, among which you can distinguish such names as: Maria Schneider, Nigel Kennedy, Eric Marienthal, Dean Brown, Rick Margitza, Larry Coryell, Xanton Blacq, Z-Star, Judy Bady, Michal Urbaniak, Jaroslaw Śmietana, Piotr Wojtasik, Piotr Wojtasik,
His pianist and work are characterized by combining different styles and musical traditions, and excellent technique and workshop are a starting point for creative thought and free expression.
