Graduated from École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris, Philippe Duchêne started to work on animated series in the early 90s. He worked on more than 30 series as Art director, character designer, and storyboarder.
Also director, he signed the pilot project series Trolls of Troy for Dargaud Media & M6, and developed the animated feature film The Lion Child for Acacias Films. And then, Philippe began writing his own film projects.
Philippe leads the character design on the 3D animated feature film Ballerina produced by Quad Cinéma released in french theaters for Christmas 2016 and in USA during summer 2017. The film grossed more than $100 million worldwide.
He also worked as lead character designer on the TV series Young Spirou (Dupuis Audiovisuel) broadcasted on M6, as lead character designer on TV series Xiaolin chronicles (Lagardère) released by Disney Channel and Gully.
Philippe also works as Art director for Video Games industry.
During 2020, he worked as character designer on the TV series Usagi yojimbo produced by Gaumont and Netflix and his first animated feature film Lendarys as creator, director and screenwriter is produced by PM.SA.
