Conceptual sculptor, creating spatial installations and objects. Piesliak's work can be divided into periods, during which the artist devotes all his creative energy to the development of a particular theme. As a result of these thematic cycles, the sculptor's objects seem to extend each other and are tightly intertwined with conceptual links. One of the most important and longest-researched themes in Piesliak's oeuvre is the relationship between the human being's sense of self and emotions and the environment around him. In his installations, the artist reveals this theme by changing and reshaping the exhibition space in various ways and by involving the viewer and his experiences in the creative experiment. The sculptor uses household lighting as tools for atmospheric change, symbolizing the facelessness and alienation of the social environment. According to the artist, the objects in his works do not have any specific meanings in themselves, while their totality serves as an instrument for the formation of a new experience for the observer. In Piesliak's recent series of works, the themes of synthesis, memory and communication emerge. By giving new life to old porcelain vessels and giving them a sculptural body, the artist analyses and reworks historical artefacts and the meanings of loss and rebirth.
