Graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts in 1986. From 1987 to 1993 she worked at the National Čiurlionis Art Museum, from 1991 at Vytautas Magnus University, and from 1999 to 2000 she was the Deputy Director of the Kaunas Institute of Art at Vilnius Academy of Arts.
She researches the art of 20th century Eastern Lithuania, especially that of M. K. Čiurlionis and Western Europe. She has published articles on Čiurlionis's art in Lithuanian, Russian, Italian, German and Japanese publications, and has compiled catalogues of the works of groups of Lithuanian artists. He has organised solo and group exhibitions of Lithuanian artists. Curator of the first exhibition at the National Gallery of Art "Dialogues of Colours and Sounds: the work of M. K. Čiurlionis and his contemporaries" (together with Prof. Wojtech Lahoda, Czech Republic). She writes art criticism articles, exhibition reviews in Lithuanian and foreign press.
