The German-Chilean Rebekka Dornhege Eyes studied stage and costume design at the Berlin University of the Arts. She has had a long-standing collaboration with the director Ulrike Schwab, including the productions Sehnsucht.Lohengrin and The Love of the Three Oranges for the children's opera house of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, Pagliacci and Salome at the Theater Bremen, Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny at the Stuttgart State Opera and Così fan tutte at the Folksoperan in Stockholm. Together with the director Rahel Thiel she realized The Three Wishes by Bohuslav Martinů at the Chemnitz Theater. She is regularly involved as a set designer or costume designer in productions at the Neuköllner Oper Berlin: 2016 Iris Butterfly, 2017 La BETTLEROPERa, 2018 Die Weise von Liebe und Tod, 2019 Die Fleisch / Ayamé and 2022 Mexico Aura: The Myth of Possession. In 2023 she designed the costume design for the new production of Rigoletto at the Ópera nacional de Chile. The Hunting Rifle is her first production at the Bavarian State Opera. (As of: 2024)
