Rolandas Butkevičius is a jazz saxophonist who graduated from Klaipėda University in 1997. He is a multi-instrumentalist with excellent clarinet and flute skills. Since 2002, after moving to Spain, R. Butkevičius has been performing and teaching. In Vigo (Spain) he formed the Vicus Swing Band, Big Bang Band, and the Navia Swing Band, a youth jazz orchestra. He is also the founder and organiser of the Navia Swing Festival. During his professional career, he has participated in many international blues and jazz festivals and has collaborated with various bands as a guest soloist. Butkevičius has recorded albums with Karol Biveinis Jazz Quartet "Moments of Reflection", Argentinian funk-rock band "Phantom Club" "Funksiona!", Spanish rockabilly band "Rockin' Gina & The Sentinels" and "One Crazy Night". The latest bossa nova, blues and jazz album recorded in 2019 is Vatapa Quinteto Vol 2 (Spain).
