Ruta Spelskyte

Principal areas of research: Work with living organisms (cochineal cells, silkworms, magnetotactic bacteria, the slime mould Physarum polycephalum, bioluminescent pyrocystis lunula, etc.), imagining future alchemy, intra-active relationships, scenarios of learning from non-humans, gradually moving from SciFi to extro-SciFi worlds.
The postdoctoral research focuses on magnetite and the magnetoreception of humans, and explores the poetic possibility of training oneself to feel what one does not feel.
