Rūta Vosyliūtė is a performer of Baroque music who actively participates in various music projects and early music festivals in Lithuania and Europe. The aim of Rūta Vosyliūtė's creative activities is to popularize Baroque music in Lithuania. In 2014, after completing her master's degree in baroque singing in Italy, she continued her doctoral studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and organized very rare and unheard-of recitals of Italian Baroque music at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania. These recitals were dedicated to Faustina Bordoni-Hasse (1697-1781) in "La Prima Diva" concert (2017), "Baroque music evening with Porpora" (2017), "Aria da capo: ornamented Italian arias of the 18th century" (2016), "Cantata alla Italiana - concert of 18th century Italian cantatas" (2016) and "Italian oratorio" (2015). R. Vosyliūtė has also prepared theatrical musical projects: "Dramma da Capo" with the baroque orchestra "Collegium Musicum Riga" (conductor Maris Kupčs) (2018) and "Basso Ostinato" (2017). In 2014, Rūta, together with Ieva Baublyte and Vilimas Norkūnas, formed the early music ensemble "Chiaroscuro", with which they perform concerts in various cities in Lithuania. Baroque opera is R. Vosyliūtė's passion. In recent years, she has participated in many productions of "Baroque Opera Theater", in which she created several roles for early baroque opera in Lithuania and Latvia. Collaborating with "ArtisOpera", she created the role of Bradamante in A. Vivaldi's opera "Orlando furioso" (2019); she played the role of Elena in the restored opera "The Abduction of Helen" with music by M. Vitale (2018). In "Baroque Opera Theater" projects, Rūta created the role of Ino in G. F. Handel's opera "Semele" (2017), the role of Abra in A. Vivaldi's oratorio "Juditha Triumphans" (2014), and the role of Magdalene in G. F. Handel's oratorio "The Resurrection" (2014). At the "Vivat Curlandia" early music festival in Latvia, she played the role of Proserpina in G. Caccini's opera "Euridice" (2017). At the international early music festival "Banchetto musicale," she played the roles of Music and Hope in Cl. Monteverdi's opera "Orfeo" (2015). She has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Claudio Cavina, Sigiswald Kuijken, Paolo Faldi, Marco Mencoboni, Walter Testolin, and Wolfgang Katschner.
