Santa Šillere is a jazz vocalist from Latvia. Growing up in a musical family she started singing and playing piano at an early age. She had graduated from Jelgava Music College as a choir conductor. At the moment she studies at Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music jazz vocal department. As part of the Erasmus + exchange program, in 2018 she started her studies at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music (Katowice, Poland) in the class of jazz singer Anna Gadt. Also, Santa has participated in many masterclasses with various jazz artists - Lisa Popeil (USA), Lenor Helm-Hammond (USA), Helle Henning (DK), Peter Hertman (BE), Lorenz Kellhuber (DE) etc.
At the age of 16, she started to perform with Jelgava Big Band - starting from this point, Santa began to learn about jazz - music she can't imagine her life today without. Santa has participated in TV show Koru Kari 3, rock opera "Lāčplēsis", as well as in the festivals "Saulkrasti Jazz" (LV), "Birštonas Jazz Festival" (LT), "Girls Power in Jazz" (DK). Mostly Santa's performing with various bands playing jazz standards and popular music in her own arrangements, as well as her original compositions.
