Artistic director of international drum and percussion festivals, president of the World Association of Percussionists "PAS" in Lithuania. Director of the percussion ensemble "Taba", Director of the Public Institution "Percussion Festivals". Director of the Great Parade of Musicians (2007, 2008, 2009), member of the Lithuanian Musicians Union. Initiator and director of the International Jonas Taločka Competition for Young Performers on Percussion Instruments. Saulius Auglys-Stanevičius studied with Linda Maxey, a marimba player from the USA, had an apprenticeship with N.J.Zivkovic, was awarded the 1st prize in the Lithuanian Competition for Young Performers (1987), 2nd prize in the Mixed Duo Competition. As a marimba soloist he has given concerts in Belgium, Mexico, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Belarus, Latvia, Luxembourg, Italy.
Nowadays Saulius Auglys-Stanevičius represents the Dutch company "Adams" and performs on their instruments: the marimba and vibraphone.
He performs solo and together with various performers: T.Kulikauskas, D.Slipkus, Elena Stanevičiūtė, D.Golovanov, Genadij Savkov.
