Seydou Sarr

Seydour Sarr grew up in Thiès, Senegal. He has three sisters and was fatherless during childhood. He made his film debut in 2023 with the film Io Capitano, directed by Matteo Garrone. For his portrayal of him in the role of Seydou he won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for best emerging actor at the 80th Venice International Film Festival. He also collaborated with co-star Moustapha Fall on Andrea Farri's soundtrack.
