Violinist Silvija Vaitkevičiūtė graduated from the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in 2004. He studied in the violin classes of Beata Šmidtiene, Raimundus Katlias and Darius Dikšaitis. Later, Silvija studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, prof. In Ingrida Armonaitė-Galinienė's class. In 2008-2009, he continued his studies at the Salzburg Mozarteum University (Austria), prof. Helmut Zehetmair and prof. Lavard Skou–Larsen in violin classes. In 2010-2012, he obtained a master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, prof. Friedemann Wezel in a violin class.
Silvija won prizes in international competitions for young violinists in Tallinn and Copenhagen, as well as in the Raimundos Katilius and Viktors Radovičius violin competitions. The performer won prizes in chamber ensemble competitions in Klaipėda and Vilnius.
Silvija Vaitkevičiūtė participated in the international youth orchestras of Deutsch–Skandinavische Jugend–Philharmonie, International Music Session of the Association of Baltic Academies of Music and Baltic Youth Philharmonic. The young performer also practiced in 2011-2012 at the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Leipzig.
The artist improved in master courses at Internationalen Meisterkurse Osnabrück with prof. Elisabeth Kufferath and The International Holland Music Sessions in Bergen NH, the Netherlands with prof. Serguei Azizian and prof. Isaac Schuldman.
The violinist played solo with St. Christopher's Chamber Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Lithuanian Academy of Music.
