I was born in Vadsø and lived in Finnmark for the first years of my life. When I was six years old, my family moved to Aurdal in Valdres and that's how I came across Hardingfela.
In my youth, interest in the instrument, the tradition and the music suddenly became very great. This interest has followed me since then and has given me many wonderful experiences with concerts in Indonesia, France, Belgium, Spain, USA, Morocco, Great Britain, Denmark and here at home in Norway.
The passion for folk music from Valdres has always been at the center of my artistic activity, a passion I hope to share through my music.
I studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music and have had Jan Beitohaugen Granli, Vegar Vårdal, Håkon Høgemo, Terje Moe Hansen and Per Anders Buen Garnås as my most important teachers.
In autumn 2021, I started a master's degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music to get further into music, and maybe one day understand him just a little more
