Stephanie Lavigne is a Canadian actress, dancer and model. She was born in Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada, but grew up in Rural Alberta. She is a classically trained dancer, both in Ballet and Jazz. After moving to the city of Vancouver at 19, she found herself taken by the power and impact of Hip Hop and set out to master it with intense training at the city's famed Harbour Dance Centre.
Her long limbs and wide eyes bring to mind the iconic 'big-eyed waifs' of famed artist Margaret Keane. Her unique look and quirky characterizations have been embraced onscreen to bring life to ghosts, goblins, sorceresses, creatures of the night, aliens and every thing that 'goes bump in the night' and needs to take on physical form onscreen. A producer once called her 'the female answer to Doug Jones', a comparison not lost on Stephanie who greatly admires the actor's work. "If I can move someone with my physical presence ...make them feel, and not just see...I feel I've accomplished something."
