Although Thomas Weigel lives in Berlin, his work is also connected to the Lithuanian art field. In 2010, he was awarded a diploma by Kaunas City Municipality, was a finalist and winner of the competition "Idea for Kaunas" organised by the daily newspaper "Kauno diena" and Kaunas City Municipality.
