Having always been fascinated by science and music throughout his life, Tom chose to study physics and devote the rest of his free time to music. His main instrument is the tabla, a traditional Indian percussion instrument common in Northern India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He found his way into Indian classical music through Sahaja Yoga meditation. Tomas was captivated by the subtle rhythms of the tabla and began studying in Lithuania and India with different teachers.He is currently studying with the renowned Delhi tabla player Ustad Rafiuddin Sabri.
In concerts he accompanies vocalists and instrumentalists on their ragas and bhajans, and accompanies dancers in Indian classical dances.
