National Kaunas drama theatreUgnė Žirgulė is not only a talented theatre and film actress, but also an inspiring educator and art historian. Her career is broad and varied, encompassing both intensive work on stage and teaching and theoretical research in art history.Acting Mastery Studios In 1995, Ugne began her journey into the world of acting by enrolling in the prestigious Acting Mastery Studios under the direction of Gytis Padegimas at the Kaunas Academic Drama Theatre. Studying with theatre stars such as G. Padegimas, L. Zelčius, and international teachers such as T. Hinterberger from Austria, provided her with unique experience and skills that helped shape her later work on stage.Academic Path and ResearchIn 1999, after intensive studies, Ugnė defended her Bachelor's degree in Art History at Vytautas Magnus University. Her academic interests continued to develop, and in 2013 she obtained a teaching qualification at Kaunas University of Technology. Since 2023, Ugnė has been teaching creative art therapies at Kaunas College, emphasizing the therapeutic potential of the arts and their application in practice.Commitment to TheatreSince 1997 Ugnė has been a member of the company of the National Kaunas Drama Theatre. Over the years she has created many memorable roles that have deepened the audience's understanding of complex human emotions and life's dilemmas. From 2000 to 2004 she worked at the Yamaha Music School, and from 2003 to 2022 she worked at the J. Jablonskis Gymnasium in Kaunas, where she taught theatre art to the younger generation.
