In 1967-1972 he studied graphic arts at the Lithuanian Art Institute (now Vilnius Academy of Arts).
From 1972 he taught at the Drawing and Drawing Department of Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute (now Šiauliai University).
Member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union since 1974.
His work interpreted the national tradition of Lithuanian folk graphic art, used the linocut technique, and he was especially fond of large-size sheets of paper. The main theme was the countryside. He also carved portraits (of the actors of Šiauliai Drama Theatre: Faustina Laurinaitytė, 1979; Olita Dautartaitė, 1982; Stasys Paska, 1984), and painted ex-librises.
He took part in the exhibitions of Šiauliai artists.
There are some of his works in the Museum of Lithuanian Art.
