was born in Kharkiv, studied at the Kharkiv Specialized Music School, studied at the Kharkiv I.P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts, trained under famous professors such as I. Havryš (Russia), W. Deshpal (Croatia), R. Lacko (Switzerland), N. Gutman (Russia ), D. Severin (Switzerland), L. Franta (Poland), J. Zwicker (baroque cello, Austria) in master courses. He is a laureate and graduate of many international competitions: F. Dotzauer (Germany), D. Popper (Hungary), I. Drohomiretskyi (Poland), M. Lysenko (Ukraine) and the International Association of Wagner Societies (2010) and the Polish Ministry of Culture (" Gaude Polonia", 2015) scholarship holder.2017 - 2021 V. Rekalo was an artist of the National Chamber Orchestra "Kyivski solisty", since 2021. Concertmaster of the cello group of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra. From 2022 - Cellist of the Vilnius State Quartet. He participated in many prestigious festivals and music projects in Ukraine, Poland, Austria, etc. From 2007 to 2012, he taught cello at the Kharkiv Specialized Music School, and since 2018 he has been a visiting professor at the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine (YSOU).
