Graduated from the then LSSR Art Institute in 1958, she worked for many years as a costume designer at the Lithuanian Film Studio and as a food packaging designer at the Vilnius "Dailės" Kombinat. During the Soviet years, together with Laima Kirlyte, she secretly illustrated Sonė Tomarienė's book "Pelytė geležytė", published by the Salesians in Rome in 1968. She designed costumes for many Lithuanian films.
