Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, Vilija Poskute grew up around music from an early age. First piano lessons at the age of 6. Studied music at the Vilnius Music Academy, at the Rostock Music Academy and at the Zurich University of the Arts in the subjects piano, ensemble and pedagogy.
In addition to working as an instrument teacher, she has been part of the piano duo Poskute Daukantas with her husband Tomas Daukantas since 2000. Numerous successful performances in Switzerland and abroad. More at: www.pianoduo.ch
