Lithuanian sculptor. Member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union since 1983.
Participant of Lithuanian and international symposiums and exhibitions, working in the field of abstract sculpture, together with Mindaugas Navakas and others, influencing the processes of sculpture modernisation. He has created memorial monuments, works for church interiors and public urban spaces.
According to art critic Elona Lubytė, from the very beginning of his creative career, he has stood out in the overall panorama of contemporary sculpture for his distinctive unity of minimalist thinking and a subtle sense of form, which eventually acquired new dimensions and values. Art historian and critic Giedrė Jankevičiūtė: "He is one of the few sculptors who still works with material, so his works do not fade, do not disintegrate, but age very beautifully". He has created memorial monuments, works for church interiors and public spaces in cities, including sculptures in Klaipėda's M. Mažvydas Park, the sculpture "Vaivorykštė" (2004) in Utena, and "Kabantys akmenys" (2006) in Kaunas' "Sculpture Zone", and the object "Krantinės ark" (2009) in Vilnius.
