Vytautas Mikeliūnas, a violinist and arranger, is a well-known academic musician in Lithuania. He is a laureate of various competitions and has been a concertmaster of the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra for many years. In addition, he has a great interest in jazz. While working in the orchestra, he initiated several projects with jazz musicians and arranged jazz compositions for the orchestra.
Vytautas Mikeliūnas has played with many Lithuanian jazz musicians and participated in various festivals. He also leads and arranges for the group "Beduin String Quartet," which plays jazz compositions. His music explores the possibilities of combining jazz and academic music.
In addition to his creative work, Vytautas Mikeliūnas is an active educator and lecturer at the Vilnius College of Art faculty. He teaches violin and private piano disciplines.
