Vytautas Narbutas in 1982 after graduating from Stepa Žukas technical school of applied art in Kaunas, he studied scenography at the Lithuanian Institute of Arts (now the Vilnius Academy of Arts). Since 1998 lives and works in Reykjavik (Iceland), is an honorary member of the Icelandic Lithuanian community. The artist has created scenography and costumes for dozens of performances in the theaters of Lithuania, Iceland, Finland, Denmark and Japan. He collaborated a lot with the director Rimanta Tumin. In his free time, Vytautas became and participates in exhibitions. Vytautas Narbutas is nominated for the main Icelandic theater award "Grima" almost every year, and in 2008 The name of Vytautas Narbutos caused a real sensation in the country, because he, a scenographer and a foreigner, was nominated for its most important annual award by a very closed national organization - the Association of Icelandic Designers.
