Vytautas Oškinis was born on January 18th, 1991. His education includes attending M.K Čiurlionis School of Arts from 1998-2010 where he studied with flute teachers L. Gailiūnas, V. Giknius and Ž. Valkaitytė. Afterwards, he attended the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre from 2010-2014, where he obtained qualifications as a flute performer and teacher under the guidance of professor A. Vizgirda. In addition, from September 2012 to February 2013, he studied at the Brussels Royal Conservatory as part of the Erasmus student exchange program, led by professor F. Hendrickx. From 2014-2016, he studied for his master's degree at LMTA under the guidance of professor V. Gelgota. Oškinis has also attended several advanced courses, such as "Flute in Neringa" from 2007-2014 with professors A. Vizgirda, V. Bottazzini, M. Takahashi and others, "Flute Summer with William Bennett" in 2009 with professor William Bennett, a master class with professor Carlo Jans in Riga in 2013, a master class with professor Jacques Zoon in Vilnius in 2015, and an international summer academy course on contemporary music in 2016 with professor Michael Schmid.
Oškinis has also achieved many accomplishments. He won the National J. Pakalnis Wind Instrument Competition in 2005. Six years later, in 2008, he won second place in the International K. Štralys Young Flutists Competition in Riga, and in 2013, he won third place in the International Chamber Music Competition in Vilnius.
Oškinis has also directed many important performances, including concerts at the "Lutheran Summer Music" festival in 2006 and 2007, a performance at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic with the M.K. Čiurlionis School Symphony Orchestra in 2010, concerts at the Usedom Music Festival in 2011, a concert at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic "J. Landsbergytė and Friends" in 2014, and a performance with the Synaesthesis contemporary music ensemble at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg in 2015. In 2016, he performed with the Synaesthesis ensemble at the international contemporary music festival "Gaida". Oškinis has also been a member of the Synaesthesis contemporary music ensemble since 2013. From September 2016 to June 2017, he taught flute at the Anykščiai School of Music.
