Member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union since 1980, from 1997 to 2004 - a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union. ), "From Ladakalnis" (1988), "Oaks" (1992), "Bridge" (1994), "Morning Frost" (1996), "Motif of the Dunes" (1997), and the series "Roots" (1997-2004). The main space of V. Tribandis' work is easel painting, which reveals the Lithuanian landscape. The wide panoramas of the plains and the cosy corners of the Dzūkija forests and intermountains, the Baltic Sea and the fishing villages - all of this merges into an epic narrative about the homeland, the fatherland, the Fatherland. Trees occupy a special place in the landscape. Through the openwork of spreading trunks, branches and foliage, further spaces, the horizon with its homesteads, hills and slopes open up. Trees fill the picture with life. In some places they stand still, in others they are torn by the wind, but everywhere they are the main theme, the guardians of life. One is tempted to think of the ecological state of nature, of the proximity of the hollowed-out old men and the slender trees, of the kinship between man and man. V. Tribandis has also created mural paintings, participated in city festivals and creative camps. The artist was interested in photography, filmmaking and computers. He described the works created using the technique as "photographic": natural motifs are composed into expressive images, and real elements are interwoven into decorative, fantastic combinations. The author considered these works experimental, and wanted to show the possibilities of computer technology.
The works are in the Lithuanian Art Museum.
